What the job is
Rotation moves the tires through the positions Jeep specifies for your drivetrain, which is not the same pattern on every model. Inspection is the part that matters most on a Jeep. Tread depth across the width of each tire, not just in the middle, because the wear pattern is the diagnosis. Sidewall condition, which on a vehicle that sees trails or curbs is a real check. Age of the tire, because rubber has a shelf life whether or not the tread is there.

What moves the interval
Potholes, and this region manufactures them. The freeze-thaw cycle opens the road surface by late February, and a hard hit on Route 1 or a back road in March is the single most common reason a Portsmouth Jeep needs an alignment check.

For tread depth, the old quarter test still works: insert a quarter upside down, and if you can see the top of Washington's head there is roughly a sixteenth of an inch or less left, which is not enough for a Seacoast winter. Cracking in the sidewall or a date code more than about six years old is worth a conversation regardless of tread.
