The 2026 Jeep Cherokee returns as an all-new compact hybrid SUV, priced from about $35,000 to $43,000 before Jeep's $1,995 destination charge ($36,995 to $44,995 delivered). Every trim, Base, Laredo, Limited, 85th Anniversary, and Overland, runs the same powertrain: a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with two electric motors for 210 horsepower, standard all-wheel drive, and an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined with more than 500 miles of range. Properly equipped, it tows up to 3,500 pounds, enough for a small camper or a pair of watercraft headed for the coast.
This is Jeep's first conventional hybrid, so the headline is efficiency with no charging cord, 39 mpg in the city, on a roomier body built on the larger STLA platform with 68.3 cubic feet of cargo space. There is no Trailhawk in the lineup yet; every Cherokee shares the same standard Active Drive I four-wheel drive rather than a dedicated off-road trim.
