Salisbury is the first town over the line, and for a lot of its residents the Seacoast is already part of normal life: the beach in summer, Newburyport across the river, and I-95 running straight north. Nineteen miles is not a journey from Salisbury, it is an afternoon.

The drive
Nineteen miles, about twenty-four minutes. From Salisbury take I-95 north over the state line, through Seabrook and Hampton, and off at the Portsmouth exits onto Route 1, then south on Lafayette Road to 2355. There are no tolls on that route.
If you would rather stay off the interstate, Route 1 and Route 1A run up the coast through Seabrook, Hampton Beach and Rye. It takes longer and in July it takes considerably longer, but it is the scenic version.

Massachusetts registration
It is the first question every Salisbury buyer asks and it deserves a straight answer rather than a slogan. New Hampshire charges no state sales tax on the purchase itself. That does not make the vehicle cheaper for you, because a Massachusetts resident pays Massachusetts sales or use tax when registering at the RMV. You pay your home state's tax either way, and anyone implying otherwise is selling you something.
What crossing the line actually changes is paperwork. The dealership prepares the title documents for a Massachusetts registration; you complete it through the RMV or an insurance agent authorised to process it, with the stamped RMV-1 form from your insurer. Being nineteen miles away, most Salisbury buyers handle this in a single afternoon.
After the plate is on, the vehicle needs a Massachusetts annual safety inspection at a licensed station, which has to happen in Massachusetts. For current fees, tax treatment and forms the Massachusetts RMV is the authority.

The local angle
Salisbury is a beach town and it shows in what people buy. Sand is the local variable nobody mentions in a brochure. Coastal New England is the hardest place in the country to buy a used vehicle badly. Salt on the roads from November into March, salt air the rest of the year, and beach sand on top of it. The service angle
A Salisbury vehicle faces a combination that inland vehicles do not: road salt in winter, salt air year-round, and sand for a good part of the summer. Sand is abrasive and it holds moisture against metal, which is why beach-town vehicles often show corrosion in places a purely inland vehicle of the same age does not.
The practical consequences are concentrated in the brake system and the underside. Caliper slide pins seizing, brake lines corroding, and rotor faces pitting are all more common here, and they frequently arrive before the friction material is anywhere near worn out. The other item is anything with a seal.
