The 2026 Jeep Recon launches with one trim, Moab, at $66,995 delivered. That is unusual, and it changes the shopping question: there is no ladder to climb, so the decision is not which Recon but which options belong on yours. Jeep has said a longer-range version follows later, but it has not been named, priced or specified, so today the Moab is the whole lineup.

What you get
Moab is equipped the way a top trim usually is, which is the point of launching with it. The powertrain is two 250 kW electric drive modules making 650 horsepower and 620 lb-ft, driving all four wheels through a single-speed transfer case. The battery is a 400-volt, 100.5-kWh pack.
Capability, standard on the Moab: 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18 x 8.5-inch painted alloy wheels, a rear electronic locking differential, Selec-Terrain with Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand and Rock modes, Selec-Speed Control, 9.1 inches of ground clearance and a full-size rear-mounted spare on the swing gate.
Open air, standard on the Moab: removable doors, removable rear quarter glass and removable swing gate glass, all without tools, plus a dual-pane sunroof.
Cabin and technology, standard on the Moab: a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with navigation and off-road trail maps, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, 11-speaker Alpine audio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, and five seats trimmed in Black or Joshua Tree.
Safety, standard on the Moab: more than 170 safety and security features, among them Rough Road Cruise Control, Pedestrian Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and a surround-view camera.

The Trailer Tow Group is what takes the Recon to its 3,300-pound maximum trailer weight properly equipped, which is the number that matters on a launch ramp. If a pair of watercraft or a small utility trailer is anywhere in your summer, add it at order time; retrofitting towing equipment later is more expensive and less tidy than $995.
The $1,995 question is about the back seat and the back window. The Comfort Package earns its money in January with kids behind you on the way to Durham. Ask us to walk you through it against the build you are looking at, because what is worth having changes with how you load the car.
Both are open-air answers and they suit different people. The standard dual-pane sunroof is fixed glass over both rows, which is the low-maintenance choice and the one that keeps the roof structure solid. The Sky One-Touch Power Top peels the fabric roof back at the press of a button, which is the choice if you want sky over your head on the way to Great Bay without stopping to remove anything.
A Moab with both packages is $69,985 before tax, title and registration, which is $2,990 over the base car. That is a small step relative to the car, and it is the configuration most NH Seacoast buyers end up wanting.
